Time is money.
You should spend it doing more valuable things than standing in front of your closet.
AND, you don’t have to waste time fretting over what to wear each morning. And then still leave wearing something you’re not crazy about.

So, let’s dig into HOW much money is sitting in your closet:

The cost of these clothes?
  • The money that is sitting in your closet
  • The money you could have been making while you were shopping for the item on sale you’ve never worn
  • The money left on the table while you were standing front of your closet creating a pile of discarded clothes on your bed

Just saying!

  1. Hey! In all honesty, most of the clothes I have that I don’t/haven’t ever worn were purchased because I loved them when I saw them, but never have any occasion to wear them! As a teacher, I can be pretty casual, and I have WAY too many coctail/dressy outfits that I just never wear for lack of a reason. I bet I have over $1000 in items that fit this category, which is a lot of money for me! Yikes!

    1. That’s great awareness, Kelly! Do you buy a new cocktail dress for each occasion? Is that maybe why? Or can you dress up a bit more for work even though you don’t have to … it sounds like there is a part of you that DOES want to be dressier, but you feel like casual is just easier. And maybe you just need more reasons to wear the cocktail dresses. Even if it’s just for dinner with your honey. 😉

  2. For me it’s the not knowing how to put an outfit together or not knowing what to do with certain prices of clothing. For instance I have a cute white short sleeve blouse that fits perfectly and is very flattering but it’s a bit see through, how can I wear this without feeling exposed? I really don’t want to return this item.
