There are so many things RIGHT about this picture. In fact, I’m kind of obsessed with everything that Michelle does well here and I wanted to share with you WHY because it’s such a perfect teachable moment.

Why do I love this? Let me count the ways …

It’s whimsical, yet so simple.

She’s not trying at all. She’s comfortable and classic.

Her hair – short and sweet. Since I recently chopped my hair, I can really appreciate how EASY short hair is for a busy woman.

She’s mixing prints and showing you how simple it is … it works because the colors in her top are also in her shorts.

Plus, now I really want her shorts!

Her sandals … not too gladiator in style to cut her legs off (visually shorten them), yet substantial enough to add additional visual interest to the outfit.

What a perfect, casual summer look. Probably doesn’t hurt that she has a new cutie BF to look cute for now.
