Lately, I’ve been really impressed with the women in my life.

I mean, I guess I always have. My clients are amazing and my friends are everything to me. They’re my extended family.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to go to the San Diego Summit of Women Investing in Women. The women I met there were just astounding. This wasn’t just about empowering women, but about giving them the tools as business women to ID the best kind of financing/investors for their businesses as well as giving them the tools to know how to be a savvy investor.

It’s conversations like these that get me excited!

Here I am with some of the women I met at the conference. Jayla Siciliano (second from left) has a brilliant product – Bon Affair. It’s a light wine with half the calories and less alcohol, so you can indulge and enjoy the experience of wine, but with less guilt. I can’t wait to try it myself!WomenEmpowering1

Her story is one of tenacity, passion and persistence with a bit of hustle thrown in.

But, I was most amazed at her generosity. Building up a product based business takes a lot of capital. She has raised a lot of money and even survived Shark Tank (securing an amazing deal + partner with Marc Cuban). And she was willing to share the details of HOW she did it with us who were trying to figure out the confusing options available to us.

I want to give a HUGE shout out to Anu Bhardwaj for creating the movement that is Women Investing in Women. I highly encourage you to check it out.WomenEmpoweringAnu

And another shout out to Silvia Mah and Felena Hanson for putting together an informative + inspiring conference. Their work to empower women entrepreneurs is definitely worth checking out and I’m hoping we get a Hera Hub up here in LA sometime soon (ready to franchise?).

I am always so inspired when I connect with women who are so invested in empowering other women.

So I am grateful to all of these women for helping me reconnect to my WHY so deeply. And for the women that show up for me on a daily basis in support and solidarity.

We will create change because we do it differently. We do it together.

If you’ve been following me for a while (or maybe even not that long!), you know how passionately I feel about empowering other women because of this. As we step into our power, our capacity to create change is multiplied.

Which is why much of my volunteering and connecting is based in empowering women. And why I love that the Lean In movement has created Lean In circles for women in the workforce to collaborate, instead of compete.

And which is why I am so passionate about Style Power. Because it’s been something I’ve been using all my life, especially since I had some less than enjoyable experiences as a young girl/woman growing up and trying to fit in.

I shared these experiences last May when I went WAY out of my comfort zone and performed as a part of Artistpreneurs on Stage. I am now ready to share this video with you.

I share my personal story. My experience with friends (or girls I thought were friends) at a young age. My shyness. My journey 2000 miles away from home. And my journey to finding my power, my tribe and my voice.

I would love to know if you can relate.

I know a lot of us women endured painful ‘mean girl’ situations growing up, but I truly believe that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. And usually is a part of your WHY.
