You know how you’re supposed to let go of something, but perhaps it can take weeks, months or even years to actually let go of it?
It’s scary!
Not just because you may still be doing something because it’s your bread and butter but also because it’s what you KNOW. Moving forward into something unfamiliar is always a risk and a challenge.
But, if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you. (Son of a gun!)
And, when one door closes, another one opens, right?
It’s been interesting having conversations with friends and colleagues lately. It seems that there is an ongoing trend of having to ‘let go’ and being in a place of ‘transition.’ Can you relate?
It was a recent ‘failure’ that made me realize that it was time to truly let go of something that I’ve been holding on to for the last 6 months, though I’ve been feeling it was time to do things differently here at Ustyled.
Failure is actually just feedback if you take the lesson and move forward with it.

As I mentioned, Ustyled has evolved quite a bit as a business and I’ve evolved quite a bit as a leader, an entrepreneur, a woman and a friend.
The question that moves me forward as I ponder challenges, next steps and opportunities: Where/HOW can I make the biggest impact?
I’ve been masterminding with my brilliant friend Ungenita Prevost for pretty much the life of Ustyled and the theme has always been: How can we empower women to SHOW UP and PLAY BIG.
