Picking out the perfect gifts for the ones I love is not something I take lightly. For me, it’s not about the amount of money that I spend, but the meaning behind the gift.
A few things I consider as I plan my shopping for friends and family:
- Hobbies
- Career
- Current Wardrobe // Style … and where I see them evolving STYLE 😉
- Lifestyle
- Dreams
One of my key desires in gifting is giving something that is useful, valuable and a treat. I don’t ever buy anything for just the sake of giving a gift.
For instance, if I know they don’t have any room in their kitchen for a new gadget, I won’t get them that. But, I may gift them a new special bottle of wine because they can experience it (and it doesn’t add any long-term clutter). And, they may not usually spend that much on a bottle of wine, so it’s definitely a treat.
You have to do YOU. So gift in YOUR style. But, for some inspiration on gifts I find are timeless and also useful, valuable and a TREAT, read on.

Ever since I stole my dad’s old beat up card holder (that I’d gifted him and then replaced as a gift), I have been hooked on the simplicity and efficiency of the card holder as a wallet. Plus, it moves from purse to purse SO much more easily.

Travel with a bit of Luxury
If I’m busy or stressed, a soft scented candle brings me into the present. This is especially helpful when I’m writing or working on anything strategy related for Ustyled that requires creative and thoughtful thinking.
So, last year when I was traveling quite a bit, I would bring a travel candle with me so I could get into the zone in any hotel room or environment. (Practiced safely, of course!)

Add Some Personality
